Pushed to break new ground in a competitive area, Massachusetts producer/rapper Delatone started making beats for local artists, eventually linking up with old high school friend, now on the global touring circuit, Quite Nyce of Radix.
After trading beats and lyrics over 2009, Delatone eventually produced tracks for QN's "Vision" mixtape, and QN featured a guest spot for Delatone's "What Lies Inside" album.
In the fall of 2009, Delatone performed at the Lucky Dog music venue in Worcester for former Def Squad veteran Keith Murray.
Since then he has performed live for Slum Village, Tonedeff, and the Cunninlynguists among many other shows in the progress.
As a final testament to the album, Delatone shot and directed his first single, a tribute to reefer madness called "Pass That."
Filmed in Costa Rica, Delatone completed his first attempt at producing, writing, and editing the video to his first CD single.
It features Quite Nyce and new labelmate "DJ Pussy Pain." His debut album, "What Lies Inside," will be released in November 2010.
